Training of Organic Rice Certification for Agricultural Officers
The West Java Province Food Crops and Horticulture Training Center successfully held an Organic Rice Certification Training for agricultural officers. The event, held on August 28, 2024, aimed to improve knowledge and skills regarding organic farming methods, the process, and mechanisms for organic farming certification in accordance with applicable regulations.
The training was attended by 30 participants from 27 regencies/cities in West Java Province. During the training session, participants were provided with material on the Organic Quality Assurance System, which included:

Understanding 14 quality system SOP documents:
Location map (land conversion requirements)
Land map
Land use history
Farmer list
Organizational structure
SOP
Production/harvest records
Product sales/shipment records
Consumer list
Internal organic standards
Member agreement/contract between management and management

The training material was delivered by Ronald Shiddiq Wibowo, Director of PT BIOCert Indonesia, which specializes in organic agricultural inspection and certification. This training is part of an effort to provide the latest knowledge and skills in certified organic agricultural practices. With this training, it is hoped that agricultural officers will be better prepared to face the challenges and opportunities in organic rice production.
